What Customers Say About First Aid for the USMLE Step 1 2009: A Student to Student Guide (First Aid USMLE):

I got to the point were i could read this book in one week, and in one month I improved my NBME scores by 40 points. I was getting very frustrated. In the end of doing all the questions youll have a excelent source. The key is to read this thing over and over, to the point were you see the pages in your mind.

I first want to say that in my study process, I must have read all of kaplan books, goljan, and some BRS books. Lastly, U world assesment is almost identical to the actual test, the nbmes are slightly easier. I can't stress this book enough. I spent so much time doing this but my scores were not improving much.

Do all of U world and wright notes into your first aid. I hope this helps you in your studies. You learn something really well, then 1 month later its lost in translation. At that point I decided to put all my faith into this book as well as U world.

I'm extremely dissapointed. Thanks Amazon for understanding. I love the book just like most people who reviewed it. So I ended up getting a refund. First-Aid publishers please solve this problem.Otherwise, the book is awesome. However, I purchased it for my new Kindle and the only texts I could read are from the introduction pages. The content itself is microscopic, even after I adjusted the font to the largest setting possible.

love, and swear by this book for step one prep. previously was using an older edition, so bought the updated version.

They just try to make it a little better each time, but the basic information is still there and it will be worth it to have read through the major chapters already when you get closer to boards. Don't worry that you won't have the newest edition that comes out in January (I think) each year. It also has useful tips that will help you on your course exams, but it probably won't be enough for those exams. First Aid is essential for Step 1 prep. I would recommend buying it at the start of your second year, so you can read the chapters along with your corresponding courses.

The product was shipped in excellent condition just as described, and I received it in a timely manner.
